Emma is a final year student completing her Bachelor of Social Sciences triple majoring in gender studies, economics and international relations at the University of Cape Town. She was a member of the South African National Debating Team and is now the director of the Thethani Debating League, a student-run development agency that does debating training in under-resourced schools in Cape Town.
